Australia’s Min Woo Lee Takes the Lead at Junior Invitational

Tee Times Announced for Final Round

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (April 21, 2017) – Australia’s Min Woo Lee will take a one-shot lead into Saturday’s final round of the 2017 Junior Invitational. Lee shot a second-round 65 to finish at 8 under. Garrett Barber of Stewart, FL and Chile’s Joaquin Neimann are tied for second at 7 under.

The runner-up at the 2016 Junior Invitational, Lee became the first Australian to win the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in July 2016. To date in 2017, he was the runner-up in the Australian Men's Amateur, finished 3rd in Australia's Riversdale Cup and placed 5th in The Avondale Medal.

About the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club

Since 2011, the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Golf Club has been recognized as the most competitive junior golf event in the world. The game’s top 54 players are invited to participate in a professionally styled event, where they have the opportunity to meet sponsors and NCAA coaches, while playing one of the country’s most exciting courses. The generous support of tournament sponsors allows players to attend at no personal cost for travel or accommodations, and has raised nearly $1.5 million for the First Tee chapters in Aiken and Augusta.
