Junior Invitational Field at Sage Valley Golf Club Will Again Include World’s Best Players

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (Feb. 29, 2024) – The 13th edition of the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley Club is set for March 17-23, 2024, and the 60-player field will again comprise the best players from around the world.

This will mark the third year of the 24-player girls competition, captured in 2023 by WAGR No. 9 Anna Davis. This year’s field includes Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings No. 1 Gianna Clemente, the 2023 Girls Junior PGA Champion, who is competing in her third Junior Invitational; WAGR No. 5 Helen Briem, the 2024 Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Champion and 2023 R&A Girls Amateur Champion; 2023 Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific Champion Eila Galitsky; among others.

The 36-player boys competition was captured last year by Aldrich Potgieter, who turned professional just three months later and recently became the youngest winner in Korn Ferry Tour history with his January victory at The Bahamas Great Abaco Classic. This year’s field will showcase top-ranked talent, including Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings No. 1 Miles Russell, the 2023 Boys Junior PGA Champion; 2023 R&A Boys’ Amateur Champion Kris Kim; Blades Brown, who became the youngest co-medalist at stroke play in U.S. Amateur history last year; among others. The Junior Invitational is free and open to the public on the days of competition on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tee times begin at 9:30 a.m. each day and the winners will be recognized on the 18th green following play on Saturday at approximately 4:30 p.m. More information will be shared on JuniorInvitational.com and through the Junior Invitational app during the tournament.
