Vilips is ranked No. 1 on all three junior ranking systems and No. 10 on the WAGR. He was a US Amateur quarter-finalist in 2019 where he tied the course record on Pinehurst #4 with a 65. Vilips qualified for his first US Amateur in 2016 at age 14, then again in 2017 and 2019. He was a gold medal winner at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Argentina. He also joined Bobby Jones at age 15 as the youngest winner of the Men�s Southern Amateur in 2017. Vilips was a dual Junior Presidents Cup representative in 2017 and 2019. He is the winner of five AJGA events and is a 4-time Rolex Junior All-American. He shares additional competitive course records with a 61 in the 2019 Northeast Am and a 62 on the Pete Dye Course at Sedgefield Country Club. He has made five tournament Aces, three of which were captured on video. He has committed to represent Stanford University in June 2020.
